A Manga Rare is the One Piece Card Game's top chase parallel: a character's art set over black-and-white panels from Eiichiro Oda's manga. The first was Shanks OP01-120 in 2022, and nearly every set since has had one or more. In Japan they're called コミックパラレル, "comipara". The top verified sale is $104,430, for a BGS 10 Red Manga Luffy (OP13-118).

Manga panels on cardboard
Most chase cards in a card game show new artwork. Manga Rares go back to the source: the character's art is laid over black-and-white panels taken from Eiichiro Oda's One Piece manga. The first was Shanks, OP01-120, in the game's first set, Romance Dawn, in 2022.[1][11]
In Japan they're called コミックパラレル (comic parallel), shortened to コミパラ, "comipara".[2] Bandai's own card list doesn't use either name: it just shows them as alternate versions of the set's Secret, Super and regular rares.[1]
Two later twists raised the ceiling. OP09 added a Gold Manga Gol D. Roger, and OP13 added Red Manga versions of Luffy, Ace and Sabo, among the hardest cards in the game to pull.[1][4]

How hard they are to pull
Bandai doesn't publish pull rates, so every figure is a community estimate from box openings:

Why English copies cost more
Unusually, the English print is the premium version. Japanese copies of the same artwork often sell for about a third of the price:[7]
| Card, PSA 10 | English | Japanese | As of |
|---|---|---|---|
| Red Manga Luffy OP13-118 | ~$32,790 | ~$10,862 | Aug 2026 [7] |
| Shanks OP01-120 | $4,900–6,400 | ~¥280,000 | Jul–Aug 2026 [8][2] |
| Nami OP01-016 (PRB-01) | $3,450–4,200 | $338–765 | 2026 [8] |
Typical market prices, not single sales. Japanese prices are for the Japanese-language print.
The gap moves, though. A Japanese PSA 10 Gold Manga Roger more than doubled between December 2025 and July 2026, from about ¥520,000 to ¥1,170,000.[3]
Reprints and fakes
- PRB reprints. The Premium Booster sets (PRB-01, PRB-02) reprint earlier Manga Rares in near-identical form. Check for the PRB set stamp before paying original-print prices.
- English reprints of OP13. Bandai reprinted OP13 in English in June 2026, adding supply of the Red Manga cards.[7]
- Fakes. Fake Manga Rares are common on marketplaces. Buy graded or from sellers who show the card in hand.

If you collect for the art, the Japanese comipara is the same image at a fraction of the English price, and Japanese shops price it in yen. Tell us which character and set you're after, and whether you want it raw or graded.
